有調(diào)查顯示，數(shù)學(xué)在大多數(shù)公眾的心目中是一堆數(shù)字和公式，抽象、深奧甚至神秘，對數(shù)學(xué)的應(yīng)用價(jià)值也不甚了了，這是令人堪憂的。當(dāng)前正在我國推進(jìn)的基礎(chǔ)教育改革十分重視這一點(diǎn)，采取了一系列措施，其中包括加強(qiáng)數(shù)學(xué)史和數(shù)學(xué)文化的教育。圓周率是一個(gè)世人皆知的數(shù)學(xué)符號。所謂圓周率，簡單地說，就是圓的周長與直徑之比，它是一個(gè)常數(shù)。乍一看，似乎沒有什么特別之處，其實(shí)不然。為了研究與確定，數(shù)學(xué)家們得出了眾多重要成果，是數(shù)學(xué)中“會下金蛋的鵝”。悠久的歷史，奇妙的性質(zhì)，使得蘊(yùn)涵著豐富的數(shù)學(xué)教育功能，如果能全面地開發(fā)出這些教育功能并用之于教學(xué)實(shí)踐，豈不就讓這只特殊的“鵝”為我國的數(shù)學(xué)教育事業(yè)下金蛋了嗎？ |
